BLock 3-Week 12

12 Week Social Puppy  – $10,485

The 12 Week Social Puppy Program includes everything in the 8 Week program as well as continued training benefits that are achieved as your puppy continues to mature and her training is reinforced in new and more diverse settings and situations.

This program is ideal for owners that would like a more customized experience or have special requests.  Block 3 begins the transition from what is easiest for your puppy to be successful, to what is easiest for the client.  Up to this point, the training is pretty laid out in a way to lay a foundation that all other training needs to build on.  This is when the other training can begin.  The puppy will transition to a schedule that mirrors yours.  They will be going out and about to practice the training in increasing distracting and difficult settings.  In the beginning for training to be successful, we work to make sure the puppy is set up for success by controlling interactions.  At this point in training, we begin practicing in settings where there is less control over what may happen around the puppy in order to practice and teach appropriate vs. inappropriate responses. (example.  A child running up to hug, or a cat running across the street).  Training with the puppy will be working on skill sets to reflect the needs of individual client households

Baby Steps

This program is not for anyone who wants a completely trained puppy. The 12 Week portion represents 3/4 of our 16-week S.U.P.E.R. Puppy Program.  You are always able to extend your stay at any time.

12 Week Stay & Train Program

Training Overview

This program is ideal for owners that would like a more customized experience or have special requests. Block 3 begins the transition from what is easiest for your puppy to be successful, to what is easiest for the client. Training with the puppy will be working on skill sets to reflect the needs of individual client households.

Evaluation

Evaluation by Trainer supervisor that the Goals for Social puppy program have been achieved. (Goals will vary based on client needs and requests)

Potty Training

Puppies will be understanding what is expected of them. They have the ability to alert to needs, as well. Potty training has become more consistent as the puppy should be actively trying to go in the right places and hold it in the wrong ones. They will still require a great deal of attention to continue the potty training in your home, as well as reinforcement of all the rules we have been working on with them. Please keep in mind that it is not possible for a puppy to be reliably house-trained until the puppy has matured, which is usually between the ages of 6-8 months.

SchedulE

Your puppy will be on a schedule of eating, drinking, and going potty to make house training much easier. We are transitioning the puppy’s schedule, at this point, to mirror yours. You will receive a copy of this schedule.

Crate Training

Your puppy will be crate trained. Meaning in most cases, your puppy can hold potty and remain quiet overnight and for a few hours during the day.

Socialization

Your puppy will be well-socialized. Your puppy has had ample exposure to household and neighborhood sights, sounds, and smells. They are adding new experiences out in the world.

Feedback

Your puppy will know the feedback words of “good”, “nope”, and “okay” to aid in communication.

Behavior

Problems such as jumping up, mouthing (puppy nipping), and chewing are rare and should be well under control. Occasional reminders may still be needed in new or exciting situations.

Familiarization

Your puppy will be familiar with taking and following treats and wearing a collar and leash. Many new puppy owners do realize how important this is in the training process, and that this does not come naturally to a puppy. It must be taught before the puppy can progress in their training.

Obedience

Your puppy will have a solid understanding of the obedience commands of knowing his name, “sit”, “down”, “come”, “touch” to say “hi”, and “leave it” with minimal difficulty.

GroominG

Your puppy will be introduced to basic grooming and maintenance such as brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming.

Vaccination

Your puppy will receive age appropriate vaccinations and dewormer as they apply to your puppy’s health schedule while in training.

We are dedicated to providing the right puppy for your family.

If at any time the puppy develops behaviors that we do not feel are suitable for your family, we will advise you immediately and look for a more suitable puppy for your family. We want you and your puppy to be the PERFECT match.
