Texas families
Smeraglia bred the world’s first English Goldendoodles in 1999. Today Texas families bring our puppies home from our family farm in Robertsdale, Alabama by Au Pair Air, or they fly in and meet us at the airport or on the farm. Here is how it works, and which size fits your family.
From our Alabama farm to your Texas home, in four steps.
Your application tells us about your family. At seven weeks every puppy is temperament tested, and we match the puppy to your home, not first come, first served.
Our puppies go home between 8 and 10 weeks old, depending on their size. Our team will confirm each puppy’s specific go-home date. If you choose Prep School first, your puppy goes home after training (1 to 16 weeks).
Au Pair Air: a nanny flies with your puppy in the cabin to your airport. Lauren can fly into most U.S. domestic airports.
Meet your puppy where your delivery brings it, or fly in: we can meet you at Pensacola International or Mobile Regional airport, and we’d love to welcome you to our farm in Robertsdale, Alabama.

Fly in for your Goldendoodle’s Gotcha Day
You can fly into Pensacola International Airport or Mobile Regional Airport and make your puppy’s homecoming a Southern adventure.
We can arrange to meet you at either airport, but our favorite option is welcoming you to the farm in Alabama. Come meet your puppy, spend time with our team, ask your questions, and enjoy that first unforgettable cuddle right here where your doodle’s story began.
Please coordinate your visit or airport meeting with our team before booking flights. We’ll help confirm your puppy’s readiness and plan the details. Families must have a confirmed appointment before booking flights. Those visiting the farm need to arrange their own transportation from the airport. Any airport handoff must also be confirmed with our team before flights are booked.

Yes. Our farm is in Robertsdale, Alabama. General farm visits, virtual puppy visits and allergy-testing visits are booked through the office. Call the office at (251) 960-1311. Trainers arrange Gotcha Day appointments directly with their clients.
