Our 2-Week Prep School Program is designed to give your puppy a wonderful early foundation during one of the most important stages of development. Through consistent routines, positive reinforcement, confidence-building, and age-appropriate training, puppies begin learning the essential skills that help create a smoother transition into their new homes. This program builds the foundation—but families should expect to continue practicing and reinforcing these skills at home as their puppy grows.
🐕 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 + 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬
Introduction to focus and engagement with the trainer while beginning foundational commands such as 𝐬𝐢𝐭, 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞, and 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭, along with early leash walking skills and comfort wearing a collar and leash.

Puppies begin establishing consistent potty routines while working toward 5–7 hours of quiet, accident-free crate time overnight. Trainers stay ahead of each puppy’s needs to encourage success and build healthy habits.

Here at Teddybear Goldendoodles, we want you to know that we are committed to producing the healthiest puppies possible.
We conduct extensive tests on all of our puppy parents to make sure they don’t have any common genetic disorders. These tests include screenings for conditions related to the eyes, hips, elbows, and heart.
And if you’re curious about these tests, or if you want to know more, just send us a message and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Maybe. It depends on the age and the amount of training your new puppy has received before they leave here.
It’s important to set realistic expectations.
Transitioning to a new home can be overwhelming, and can lead to accidents.
However, puppies that attend our prep school program usually do much better than those that don’t.
A temperament test can assess your puppy’s personality, reactions, and behavior in different scenarios.
We use these tests because we believe that they are essential in helping us pick a perfect home for each of our puppies.
But it’s also important to remember that although these tests are very helpful, no test is 100% accurate.
Afterall, puppies (like humans) can sometimes change as they grow up.
You don’t have to, but we definitely recommend it. Our program is very comprehensive and is designed specifically for our doodle puppies.
It focuses on socialization, foundational obedience commands, and fosters positive experiences in different environments.
Our goal with this program has always been to prepare our puppies for a smooth transition into their new home, and give them the best possible start in life.
