With low to non-shedding, allergy-friendly coats, big blocky heads, and incredible temperaments. To achieve this goal, we keep dogs from each generation to produce our very unique Schnoodles.
We are all about breeding for consistency, look & type. We base our whole breeding program on keeping and breeding the best F1 & F1B from our lines to produce our exclusive Smeraglia Schnoodles that everyone knows and loves.
The First Generation (F1) Schnoodle is the result of a Poodle crossed with a Schnauzer. These Schnoodle Puppies are 50% Schnauzer & 50% Poodle. F1 Schnoodles are compatible with most families with allergies.
The backcross (F1B) Schnoodle is produced by crossing an F1 Schnoodle with a Poodle. F1B Schnoodles will have a higher success rate for non-shedding and are recommended for families with moderate to severe allergies. The F1B Schnoodle is 75% Poodle, which makes this generation one the most hypo-allergenic of all the Schnoodle generations we breed.
The backcross (F1BB) Schnoodle is produced by crossing an F1B Schnoodle with a Poodle. F1BB Schnoodles will have a higher success rate for non-shedding and are recommended for families with moderate to severe allergies. The F1BB Schnoodle is 80% Poodle, which makes this generation one the most hypo-allergenic of all the Schnoodle generations we breed.
The second generation Schnoodle (F2 or F2B) is produced by crossing the (F1 X F1 = F2) Schnoodle or a (F1B X F1 = F2B) Schnoodle.
They also have a high success rate for non-shedding and are recommended for families with moderate to severe allergies.
The Second Generation backcross Schnoodles (F2B) is produced by crossing an F1 Schnoodles with an F1B Schnoodles or crossing an F2 Schnoodles back to a Poodle.
