F2B English Goldendoodles
The Second Generation backcross Goldendoodle (F2B) is produced by crossing an F1 Goldendoodle with an F1B Goldendoodle or by crossing an F2 Goldendoodle back to a Poodle.
- F2B Goldendoodle = F1 Goldendoodle X F1B Goldendoodle - 62.5% Poodle - 37.5% Golden Retriever
- F2B Goldendoodle = F2 Goldendoodle X Poodle - 75% Poodle - 25% Golden Retriever
This generation has a good success rate for non-shedding compared to the F1 and F2 Generations. This generation can work for families with moderate to severe allergies. Many families desire this breeding because it can have a little more Golden Retriever than the F1B. Most are low to non-shedders.
They also have a high success rate for non-shedding and are recommended for families with moderate to severe allergies.
Occasionally, an F2B breeding will produce a sporty Goldendoodle with the Golden Retriever look like the F2's posted above. This look at the F2B Generation has proved to be low to moderate shedding. F2B's can have a variety of coat types including loose-wavy, straight, and curly. As an experienced breeder, we can identify the shedders from the non-shedders. F2B's, like the F1B's, can have a variety of coat colors: Ultra Cream, Apricot, Champagne, Red, Black, and many other color variations. Please refer to our color variety page to see examples of these colors.
F2B English Goldendoodles come in three sizes (Please note that these are approximate weights. We do not guarantee weights or heights.):
- Small - Approximately 15-30 pounds
- Medium – Approximately 30-50 pounds
- Standard - Approximately 55+ pounds
F2BB English Goldendoodles
The Second Generation backcross Goldendoodle (F2B) is produced by crossing an F2B Goldendoodle with a Poodle. We breed this generation when the F2B parent breeds like an F2 we breed back to a Poodle. This is the way that we stay consistent with our breeding program.
