About Goldendoodle Generations
The first generation (F1) standard size Goldendoodle was the first to be bred. It
is the product of a standard Poodle crossed with a Golden Retriever. Most first
generation Goldendoodles shed lightly. Some can have moderate to severe
shedding.
F1 Goldendoodles are compatible for most families with MILD
allergies.
F1 Litters will have a variety of Coat types, they can vary from loose
wavy curls to a more curlier, less shedding coat. My F1 English cross has proven to
produce the most consistent Teddy Bear Goldendoodles.
The Second Generation (F2) Goldendoodle is basically the same thing as the
F1 Goldendoodle (50%/50%). Originally , Goldendoodle breeders believed that the F2
breeding would be the most consistent looking, I had even posted that information on
this page, but my personal experience proven this to be the opposite. I have found that I
do get very extreme beautiful Teddy Bear Goldendoodles from an F1XF1 breeding, , but t
I also get very straight coated retriever looking goldendoodles.
The back-cross (F1B) Goldendoodle is produced by crossing a F1 Goldendoodle
with a Poodle. F1B Goldendoodles will have a higher success rate for non-
shedding, and are recommended for families with moderate to severe allergies.
They also have a variety of coat types, some are straight fleece coast and some
are curly coats. So far all of our F1B's are totally non-shedding.
Bailey is a loose wavy F1B and Farley is a more curly F1B.

Goldendoodle with a F1B Goldendoodle. They also have a higher success rate
for non-shedding and are recommended for families with moderate to severe
allergies. They also have a variety of coat types, some are straight fleece coats
and some are curly coats. Many families desire this breeding because it has
more Golden Retriever than the F1B, most are low to non-shedders.
